Fall Weiner Roast

We had a great (though very chilly) time at the Coshocton Rotary weiner roast on Sunday night. Only a few brave souls dealt with the elements, but a good time as had nonetheless. In addition to roasting hot dogs, we had a chance to go and pick our pumpkins at a pumpkin patch. Here's a shot of my youngest (Jade) toting hers around! The kids dressed up (hence the green paint on her face) and the adults bundled up!

One cool part (pardon the pun) was on the ride out to the patch we saw a salamander. Not sure how or why it was out in the field, but there it was. I got down to check it out and show the group. As I held it up for the whole group to check out closer, one of the kids yelled, "Crikey!" So the Crocodile Hunter's spirit lives on...

I thought it was pretty cool...so here's another look!

Great find at this time of year! They migrate at Dawes in the spring and on a warm wet spring night you can see them by the scores!
